Natural Skin Care Masks

Taking care of our skin should be a mandatory daily routine and from this point of view women, but not women exclusively, should consider themselves lucky to enjoy such a wide range of creams and lotions, all very promising for those who suffer from acne. A clear skin is a beautiful skin, and this leads to inner confidence.

Sure the majority of people lead hectic busy lives, with little or no time for “pampering” themselves, let alone their skin. But the benefic effects of such a skin treatment should make everyone spare some time, not more than 5 to 20 minutes a day, to take care of their face. There is a popular saying that goes very well here: “If Mohammad can't go to the mountain, let the mountain come to Mohammad.” So, if you cannot go to a beautician, at least make some time to prepare your home-made acne remedies in the coziness of your home.

Keep in mind some steps to follow so that everything goes smoothly. First of all, make sue you know what your skin type is, dry, oily, sensitive or a mixed one. Here are some tips to recognize your skin type. A dry skin lacks oil, moisture, being prone to flaking and wrinkling. If you have a dry skin, sunlight and excessive central heating might not do you well.

If your skin is oily you have a tendency towards acne and blackheads due to the over activity of the sebaceous glands. In the case of a sensitive skin, you experience itchy and burning sensations, the skin looks fragile and normally being dry. If certain face areas exhibit different qualities, your skin is surely a combined one.

The next step is to decide what kind of mask should you use: either an egg white mask, which helps clear dead cells, unclog pores, prevent premature lines and wrinkles, or a clay mask which deeply cleans the lines and wrinkles, remove deep seated dirt from the pores; these clay masks contain a lot of nutrients and minerals helping your skin to revitalize.

In addition, natural facial clay masks have the added advantage to remove dead skin cells from the top layer of your skin, leaving it smooth and healthy.

There are certain clay masks types using different clay types, such as green clay, mainly used for normal to oily skin, yellow clay, used for normal to dry skin or red clay, for sensitive, very dry and mature skin types. Then you have to make your clay mask: mix some distilled water into the clay powder to form a uniformly mixed paste. When the paste is consistent, apply it in small quantities to your facial skin. Let it dry for 15 minutes, then rinse it off with warm water. Use it on a daily basis for 5-7 days, then 2-3 times per week until the condition has cleared up.

Now run to the kitchen and enjoy making your own facial clay mask.
